Important registration information for upcoming school year:

The start of school is right around the corner! Sign-ups for before & after school will begin 01 July on militarychildcare.com.

School officially begins 12 Aug for all students. Registering for before and after school also provides full day care for teacher in-service days.

 SCHOOL AGE CARE

Hours for School Age Care (SAC) before school are 6:30 – 7:30 am, after school 2:30 – 5:30 pm (1:30 – 5:30 pm on early release days), and 7:00 – 5:00 on full days.

Parents needing care for their children can register for before school only, after school only, or both before and after school. SAC provides breakfast in the morning, a snack in the afternoon, and transportation to our 3 local schools, Roosevelt, Sea Park, and Holland Elementary Schools. The DoD Priority System and Fee Structure will calculate space availability and fees.

Our School Age Care program recently received an expedited accreditation through the Council of Accreditation, due to meeting over 250 standards set out by the council. Our program maintains partnerships with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, as well as 4H to provide quality, high yield programming to keep your kids engaged. Staff are trained and held to the highest of standards to ensure your children receive proper care, so that you can execute the mission of SLD 45.

School Age Care is open for youth who are 5 years old and in kindergarten through 12 years old and/or in 6th grade.

YOUTH

Open Recreation in our Youth Development program is provided for youth ages 9 – 18 years old. Open Rec still provides the same quality programming as SAC, with a little more freedom for our youth. Transportation in not provided for youth enrolled in Open Recreation. Hours for Open Rec are tentatively set for Mon – Fri, 3:30 – 5:30 pm but are subject to change. Open Recreation fees are currently set at $40/year.

Youth receive Boys & Girls Clubs of America and 4H curriculum, just like children enrolled in SAC. Youth can participate in a few different programs aimed at youth/teen development such as Passport 2 Manhood, SMART Girls, Military Youth of the Year, and various clubs like cooking, photography, LEGO, etc. Youth participate in community service events, as well as learn leadership skills in Torch and Keystone Clubs.
