Three on Three Basketball
March 2 – 26, 2010 in the PAFB gymnasium
All participants must call the sports manager to schedule to this event. PTLs are responsible for registering their units for each game. All matches will be played on Tues: 7 – 9 am, Wed: 11 am to 1 pm, Thu: 3:30 - 4:30 pm. Rules of engagement will be in the sign-up book at the time of team registration.

-Half court game played by two teams of three with a maximum of four per roster.
-Teams MUST have at least three people to start a game.
-Game Length: The first team to15 (win by 2, 20 point cap) wins. There will be a twenty-minute time limit for each game.
-GAME TIME IS FORFEIT TIME!
-Time Outs: One per team per game - duration 30 seconds in length.
-All games are self-officiated.
-The two teams involved should mediate questions of judgment.
-If teams or players cannot agree on the validity of the foul then the player “contesting the call” will shoot a free throw.
-If the free throw is made the foul is nullified and that team will get the ball. If the free throw is missed the foul shall stand and the “fouled” team shall retain possession.
-Substitutions may be made after a basket or any stoppage of play.
-The coin toss will determine which team gets that ball first.
-The possession changes after each basket (this is NOT a make it, take it).
-The “Check Line” is determined by the three point arc.
-The ball must be beyond the arch at the beginning of each half.
-On defensive rebounds (including air balls) and steals, the ball must be passed or dribbled beyond the arc.
-The ball does not need to be given to a different player. As long as the ball goes beyond the arc, there are no limitations on who can shoot it.
-The Three Point Shot is in effect and two points will be awarded for a shot made behind the arc and one point for any shot made on or within the arc.
-If the ball is knocked out of bounds or goes across the mid court line it shall be awarded to the opposing team (the team that did not knock it out).
-Alternating possession on all jump ball situations will be in effect.
-The offensive team must “pass the ball in” before a shot is attempted (make one pass before a shot is taken).
-If the ball goes out-of-bounds the offensive team must check the ball with the defensive team at the top of the key.

Sign-up sheets are available at the PAFB fitness center or by calling 4-4947 (PAFB). Air Force PT attire gear and non-marking shoes required. Twenty-five Commanders Cup Points per unit per game will be awarded. Games are self-officiating hence placement points will not be awarded. Games can be played at either PAFB or CCAFS when installation access and facility availability allows. Active Duty, Guard & Reserve, family members 18 year or older, DOD and NAF, and permanent-party contractors working on CCAFS are eligible to participate.
